QuickBooks Online requires Canadian and UK businesses to assign a tax rate (or VAT code) to every invoice line item, even when no tax applies. Gazelle does not require taxes to be included on invoice line items where they do not apply. When Gazelle syncs an invoice that is missing a tax rate to QuickBooks Online, we will apply the zero-rate tax (or zero-rated VAT code) you choose here to those line items on the QuickBooks Online invoice.
β
You must choose this tax rate before you will be able to sync invoices. Here's how:
FROM THE WEB APP
Step 1: Go to Settings > Accounting
Step 2: Click the Zero Percent tax Rate
Step 3: Choose the QuickBooks tax rate to map to the Gazelle 0% tax rate. In Canada this is usually your 0% rate. In the UK this is typically the 0.0% Z code (or "No VAT", if your QBO realm has VAT disabled).
Step 4: Save.
FROM THE MOBILE APP
Step 1: Go to Settings > Accounting
Step 2: Click the Zero Percent tax Rate
Step 3: Choose the QuickBooks tax rate you want to map to the Gazelle default 0% tax rate.
Step 4: Save.
