Not every client has taxes that are as simple as your default. You might have a Tax Exempt client, or you might serve different geographic regions, like two different states or multiple counties, each with their own taxes. You can create a tax filter inside your taxes that will override your default taxes specifically for that group of clients. Just follow these steps to get that setup.
Go to Settings, Taxes.
Click on the New button to create a new default tax filter.
Add filters to find the clients that you want.
Tip: If you have multiple cities or postal codes or states that you want to include, consider adding a tag to all the clients in a region. Also, consider adding a Tax Exempt tag and filter by tags.
Apply the taxes you want to apply by clicking on the check box next to it. If you want no taxes, leave them all blank.
Name the filter and save.
