A recent update to the Uber app on Android has caused the Uber app intercept requests to open other maps apps like Google Maps.
There is a simple way to fix this, but it involves changing the Uber app settings.
First, open the Android settings and go to "Apps".
Then click to "See all apps".
Then scroll down to the Uber app and select it.
We want to change the "Open by default" setting, so tap to see the Advanced settings:
Then tap to change the "Open by default" setting:
Tap to change the setting for "Open supported links":
Finally select the option "Don't allow app to open links":
Now go back to the Gazelle app and get your driving directions like normal and everything should work fine again.
