Overview: Google Calendar 2-Way Sync Integration

How do I create a 2-way sync between my Google Calendar and my Gazelle calendar?

Written by George Buss

Gazelle's two-way live sync with Google lets you pull your Google Calendar events into Gazelle and push your Gazelle events into whatever Google calendar you choose. If you want a separate Gazelle Calendar in Google Calendar, then create a new calendar in Google specifically for your Gazelle events and then push to that calendar.

CONNECTING YOUR ACCOUNTS

FROM THE WEB APP

Step 1: Go to Settings > External Calendars.

Step 2 Click 'Add' and select 'Google Calendar'.

Step 3: Log into the Google Calendar you want to connect.

Step 4: Done.

CONFIGURING YOUR SYNC

FROM THE WEB APP

Step 1: Choose which Google Calendars you want to add to Gazelle by pulling their events to Gazelle from Google. Check off the box for that calendar under the "Pull into Gazelle" Section. Note: If you don't want to pull a specific calendar into Gazelle, just turn off the pull by unclicking the checkbox for that calendar.

Step 2: Choose which Google calendar(s) you want to push Gazelle events to. Check off the box for that calendar(s). If you don't want to push to a specific calendar(s) in Google, just turn off the push by unclicking the box for pushing Gazelle events to that Google calendar.

NOTE: Since this is a live sync, if a push or pull is turned off, this will remove that calendar's synced events from the receiving calendar. Turning it back on will restore the sync.

Step 3: Save

EDIT THE DETAILS OF PULLED AND PUSHED EVENTS

FROM THE WEB APP

You can edit each calendar individually as well to choose which events you want to send and how much detail.

Step 1: Click on the Calendar you want to edit.

Step 2: Determine if you want the pulled events to block time on your calendar.

Step 3: Set the privacy level for the pulled events.

Step 4: Configure which events you want to Push: Appointments, Personal Events and Memos. All three are checked by default.

Step 5: Choose if you want to show event details in your Calendar push.

Step 6: Configure any reminders you want to receive in Google Calendars about the pushed events.

Step 7: Save.

Note: The first push of your upcoming events takes about a minute, but after that initial sync, changes show up within seconds. If you have any future updates you want to make to your calendars, just click the "Manage Calendars" button on the Google Calendar sync you want to edit.
